EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO BECOMING A FREELANCE WRITER: 
Writer/Editor/English Language Consultant  
Nullarbor Press—Tokyo, Japan 
Wrote sample tests to assist Japanese people studying for the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) and edited the work of others writers.  Served as English language usage consultant in many different contexts, such as during production of audio portions of sample tests and as needed for correspondence.  Designed the curriculum of an English composition program for non-native speakers.  
 
Printing Sales Representative 
Commercial Printing Company—Birmingham, Alabama 
Initiated and developed relationships with a wide range of people and businesses.  Responsible to clients for all aspects of service.  Negotiated matters of quality, price, and scheduling with both clients and plant management on a daily basis.  Developed sales volume from zero to well over $350,000 annually.  Reached total sales of over three-quarters of a million dollars in less than three years. 
 
Printing Production Planner

Coordinated production of printing orders under tight deadlines.  Provided customer service for clients such as AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, and Pacific Bell.
